How ClockInOut a Biometric Time & Attendance System save Comms Direct (Wales Fastgrowth 50 Business) the equivilent of 1 Full Time Employee per year
Prior to the introduction of the Computerisation Time and Attendance system (ClockInOut) we used a manual system for collating employees attendance and lateness. This was time intensive. The introduction of the Time & Attendance system has meant that the collection of this information has become system driven, which frees up time, provides an accurate system with back up evidence in the event of any payroll/attendance queries, gives instant records of who is on site, saves payroll time and cuts down on inaccuracies. The system is also used to administer each employees holiday entitlement.
I would estimate that 5 hours (20 hours per day) a day were previously taken up from Human Resources Department collating the information for the Daily Personnel Registers and this has now been reduced to approximately one hour per day.
It is estimated that Payroll Department have saved approximately 10 hours per week processing the payroll for the company.
As a whole the company has saved approximately 35 hours per week in total which is the equivalent to one FTE, the majority of which is in HR/Payroll. This additional time has allowed focus on more value added work as opposed to implementing any labour based cost savings.
The implementation of the system has resulted in higher staff morale as there is less confrontation over wages queries. The staff have become more responsible for themselves rather than relying on team leaders to record their attendance/lateness.
Another benefit of the automated system is that it has ensured more consistency of treatment of staff as all staff comply with the same procedures. It has improved lateness which has resulted in increased sales, with staff being at their workstations on time.
There is also better and more timely communication between staff and payroll department.
