Cardiff based software developer takes the pressure off boiler maintenance firm
Cardiff based software developers, Computerisation Limited, have created an innovative system to assist Peter O'Neil Services (PONS) based in Cwmbran to manage their rapidly growing portfolio of private clients.
Established in 1988 and now with a team of over 70, PONS provides gas and solid fuel appliance servicing plus domestic plumbing to both the private and public sector via a fully manned callout system. Previously they used a number of old original systems to manage their repair and maintenance contracts. Computerisation created a single private clients database system which provides end-to-end visibility of the client management process, from initial call logging, scheduling of service calls, progress tracking, spare parts order processing and customer invoicing. Computerisation Managing Director, Clive Morgan, notes “We worked closely with the client to develop a customised system that met their specific business needs, with minimal interruption to day to day operations during implementation”
The new database provides greater accuracy of information at both user and managerial levels, enabling users to track calls more effectively and enabling management to monitor key financial and operational metrics. Customer service has also improved significantly in terms of more rapid and accurate response to queries, more efficient scheduling of service visits and faster ordering of required parts.
With a portfolio of high profile clients such as Wales Tourist Board, Welsh National Opera, Public Health Laboratory Service (Wales) and The Office of National Statistics, Computerisation was ideally placed to undertake this strategic IT project.
The team of programmers at Computerisation design bespoke computer systems for a wide variety of applications, including marketing & customer management, sales/purchase order processing, stock control, accountancy and statistical analysis. Systems can also be integrated with existing “off the shelf” packages to provide the flexibility that individual organisations need. The software is custom designed in close relations with the client to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability for the client, and full staff training and ongoing support is a key feature of the service.
