in Cardiff provide alcoholic and soft drinks supplies to their own chain of pubs and other licensed outlets. They arrange the supplies from large
breweries such as Interbrew, Brains, Coors and Courage. The breweries send the Consortium Group their invoices electronically via EDI. Their system
written by Computerisation Ltd reads the electronic messages and converts them automatically into outgoing sales invoices. Additionally sales
invoices may be entered manually for supplies obtained from other sources.
Using an automated system ensures that the high-volume
of incoming invoices are processed quickly with a minimum amount of manual intervention. The system ensures that orders are processed efficiently
and quickly. Details of each sales invoice produced are then passed to the Sage Line 100 system electronically.
The system
benefits the Consortium Group as they do not need to employ additional administration staff to process the invoices and the fast processing of sales
invoices generates a positive cash flow.
